Do you get your own, unique, website address?  Many cheap websites are built as extensions of someone else’s website.  What does this mean?  Well, affordable websites with their own domain look something like this … www.mywebsite.com.  If it is built on someone elses websites, it can look this … www.someoneelseswebsite.com/yourname or perhaps http://yourname.someoneelseswebsite.com.

In both cases you do NOT own your own website.  Not a good idea when you can build an Affordable Website on your own domain for peanuts these days.  Also, websites built as an extension of someone else’s website usually carry advertising that you have no control over – it may even be one of your competitors.

Is the price for an Affordable website “final?” Look out for the trick many cheap website designers try to pull – A low price to lock you in, but once work is started (and AFTER you pay a sizeable deposit) every you want is, “Yes, we can do that, but it is an optional extra.”  Ideally, the website designer should spell out clearly what is included and what is extra BEFORE you sign up.
